Cat's Eye (Lehsunia)

Where Cat's Eye Is Found

True chrysoberyl cat's eye — the only variety that gets to use the name "Cat's Eye" without a prefix — comes primarily from Sri Lanka and India (Kerala), with additional sources in Brazil, China, and Zimbabwe. It's prized for the sharp, single band of light (chatoyancy) that moves across the stone as it's turned.

Use

Cat's Eye is the gemstone of Ketu, the South Lunar Node — Rahu's shadow-planet counterpart, governing spirituality, detachment, sudden losses and gains, past-life karma, and intuition. Worn to pacify an afflicted or malefic Ketu.
