Where Citrine Is Found
Citrine is a yellow-to-golden variety of quartz, coloured by trace iron. Brazil is the dominant modern source (much commercial citrine is actually heat-treated amethyst from the same Brazilian mines), with natural, untreated citrine also found in Madagascar, Zambia, Russia's Ural Mountains, and Spain.
Use
Citrine's warm golden colour makes it a widely used, affordable substitute for Yellow Sapphire, channelling Jupiter's benefic energy around wealth, wisdom, and marriage prospects without the cost of a true Pukhraj.
When to Wear — Kundali & Dasha Guidance
Recommended when Jupiter's Mahadasha or Antardasha is approaching, when Jupiter is weak and a lower-cost trial stone is preferred before committing to Yellow Sapphire, or for students, financial planning, and marriage-related guidance.
Day: Thursday · Time: Morning, Shukla Paksha · Metal: Gold · Finger: Index finger, right hand · Weight: 5–9 carats
General guidance only — a qualified astrologer should confirm suitability against the individual's actual birth chart.
Benefits of Wearing Citrine
Supports financial growth and sound decision-making, encourages optimism and clarity of thought, traditionally associated with abundance and generosity, and considered a gentle, safe starting point for Jupiter-related remedies.
